The smoldering Sun

The Sun
burns the whole day
smolders during the dusk
scatters ash.

The nights hence
continue to fall...

    Dhantaring sarbapapeghnya, pranatahashmi Dibakaram..

Arrows of red hot fire sear me
A thirst is my heart in such heat
Sleepless is night, scorched is the day
    Rest and comfort elude me

A weary dove coos on a wilted branch
Crying out its heart in distress

I fear not, I fear not
I hang on gazing at the skies
In garb of a fiery tempest
I know rain will appear one day
And pour down on my parched soul
